Do You Strip?

Okay is it just me or did you figure out this idea much later in your teaching career? I make million of books each year for my class but never thought to create them this way and stack them to cut them out three at a time. Granted  this only works for this style book but I was a little slow to make a connection and format it so I could slam them out at twice the speed. So, if you do not know this little trick I am whispering this in your ear because, someone will point this out to you and you will feel so ... you know what! Strip books are fun for the kids and I use them for math facts all the time.  Do you like this idea? Try it!
Here is my book and just leave me a comment about what you do for this unit and follow me if you want to...   Click right here and tell your class this is a gift from me.

hi Fran,
I am LOVING your blog and can't wait to use some of your nifty ideas when I go back to teaching in January - just thought I'd let you know that I'm doind a state study with printables on my blog....I'm actally a bit further with the "making" than I am with the "posting" so If you think you could use anything, I'd be more than happy to email you.
Check it out and see what you think

That method also works well for "half page" books. For the books with pages that I cut in half, I always make my original with the same thing on both halves. Then you can copy the stack and make one cut. There's never any sorting the pages back out to make a book. Not sure if I explained that well, but I think it's the same method you used for this book.

Love how you strip!!! :) Will use this next week to start the unit.
By the way, I used your celery painting idea today to paint flowers. I shaded the paint to give diminsion and they turned out "fab"! Best of all, they loved their paint day.

I love to make take home booklets this way. The same booklet page is on each half of the book, run it through the machine - which double staples it also, cut it in half and you are done!

Love the strip book you created. I am printing it to file with my American Symbols unit, ready to go for next year!
